How much protein do I need?
Ingredients
- 1 scoop (33g) NoFuss Essentials Whey Protein (Dreamy Chocolate Delight)
- 1 ripe banana sliced and frozen
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter or almond butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Protein Breakup
- 1 scoop (33g) NoFuss Essentials Whey Protein~ 24g Protein
- 1 tbsp(16g) peanut butter or almond butter~ 4g Protein
- 1 medium-sized banana~ 1.3g Protein
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk~ 1.4g Protein
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder~ 1g Protein
Recipe
- In a blender, combine the chocolate flavoured whey protein powder, frozen banana slices, almond milk, cocoa powder, peanut butter, vanilla extract, ice cubes and honey or maple syrup if using.
- Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the blender as needed.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk, a splash at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately!
